of moments
shall I never
know honor more than these
a laureate or something
simply less
or shall I be
forever this –
inspired to these depths
when searching for
the river
is my soul
shall I find
my ways made well
by jasper, slate
and poet –
confined to verse
the solace
I once was
wash my fate
to marble shores
where now my kindred tarry
naught for prize
they wanted –
but words that held
their sway
. . .

There’s a haunting emotionalism to this, Bobbie, and the symetry and the rythm of the lines flow as beautifully as a symphony. One of your best. ~xo~ Paul

Well you are more than just the words you pen as your spirit and self-less heart deliver more healing than any medicine known to man. Many search for a fountain of youth, but you provide a fountain of endless happiness and joy as your words always leave the light that shines daily throughout the whole of you. Thanks for always making my day, Bobbie, i can always count on your words making my heart to radiantly smile! God bless!
If my words have that power, we should pack it and put it on the shelves (right next to the ramen noodles)………… But for me, your smile (I imagine now) is my payment. You humble me, Wendell, and I am blessed beyond words to tell. ~ Ever, Bobbie
