the eager vine –
with urge again to blossom
warms me even now
within the chill
scarlet as uncertain wing
reached beyond this telling
stretched to hold
the sky aloft –
earnestly to pray
gather life
to all I love
my promise to deliver
fill my cup of wonder –
let heaven overflow
