of moments
slowed becoming –
as the rising of the sun
ripples spread
to circles
left of dew

was destiny
forgiven –
to the places
I have come
as those to keep aside
with names I love
of frightened birds
forsaken flight –
dark where tears reside
daughters dream
in storybook of lives
they never had
silent as a sin
confessed
of memory set free
and with my own
in heart –
their song to beat
sleep again
in stillness
where innocence befalls
as feathers scored
against a sudden moon
tumble
with divine reproach
longing to the sun
dreaming still the night
of wings on fire

Every poem is better than the last and so unique in its own way…it seems if i need a lift all i have to do is visit your site and your words become like a vitamin and energize my spirit within. Thanks always for sharing with us your wonderful words!
O, Wendell, thank you. This was written for some dear friends………who regardless the day or the lifetime, live within me……..within every word and every smile. Thank you for finding a place for them within your own. ~ Love, Bobbie
Really can’t say why I liked this…, but I did!

I’m just glad you did. I realize there are many who prefer clear skies and rainbows, and rabbits and kittens. And I do too, but that is not the world of my writing……..as I allow words to come however they will (whenever they will). They were never really mine to start. I once told a dear friend that the words I least wanted to hear were an occassion when someone said my work was ‘pretty’…….. It is not; nor is pretty something I aspire to. 🙂 Thank you so much, Paul. ~ My love, Bobbie
