how deeply were roots
weaved into granite ~
briar or bruise
(beyond them to care)
cleaved to their kin
as lovers ill-fated ~
unintended this soil to share
slept through the night
dreaming of water ~
as visions of truth brought the thirsty awake
cruel and cramped (extinctive survival)
sworn to each other ~
a living to make
but fell to the midst
a lovely companion
burst from a seed (unassumed)
gentle retort of rocky intention
when met with the blade ~
of destiny’s bloom
how proudly she sways
the daylight to beckon
a moment to shine on her face
blushing umbrella of infamous fare ~
is held ever sure
in the briar’s embrace
fearless their push
to the edge of forsaken
moved as the night to alter their view ~
of all that she is
would lose in becoming
companion to these
unfortunate few
see how she smiles
for those without blossom
drawn to their beauty
(as only she knows)
sharing the light
as one with the meadow ~
tho miles from its bosom
she grows
…
Independant, courageous, and a bit lonely. Quite a picture. Like it though.
xo, and good night,
Paul
Thank you, Paul……. It wasn’t meant to be lonely (well, not much). It was meant to reveal the thought that we always find what we look for (knock and the door shall be opened). If we look for beauty, peace, love, hope ~ we will find them for surely we must carry them with us. No matter what…….. ~ Love, Me
I always feel blessed by your words, and i think a lot of us do! Your writing always embrace your readers, letting them feel a piece of your heart, the ups and downs, the realities of living and breathing. Yet you take it one step further, your words always touch hearts and lifts minds. You make the readers to feel they were massaged by the love of your self-less heart! Another gem Bobbie!
Thank you, dearest Wendell. If I could achieve nothing more in my life, I would hope that I move at least one to thought, and beyond that, the power to overcome. Thank you for always being there. ~ Ever best, Bobbie
“fearless their push
to the edge of forsaken
moved as the night to altar their view”
Are they offering their view up in surrender, or changing it?
Vivid image, just trying to fram it in my mind! ~D
*frame it, not put an oil filter on it!
….they are seeking a better view……..a place closer to her……to beauty
the law of attraction, dear Dan…..the secret of Abraham *heart* But point taken. I’ve updated the offending word! 🙂
