a moment more
than meant to take
and smiles were left to carry ~
the music of a smile
upon the line
unaware of wondering
blessed breath forgotten ~
was all at once
a moment
kept from time
if years would be
a slow repeat
of lives I passed in silence ~
don’t call me back
with whispers of goodbye
twas all for one ~
and such as this
when came the choice for choosing
returning me as morning
to your night
sweet the strain
of violin ~
lullabye of locust
stars compete
I loved them every one
so still my will
to wonder ~
of mysteries made over
where every might have been
is still to come
storytime
of midnight rhymes
hands are almost touching
a sudden grace ~
take me back sometime
to dream again
of crystal shores ~
messages awaiting
the music of forgotten smiles
ringing down the lines
…
Love the line “lullaby of locust”. This touched me because it reminds me of certain moments while traveling when I would meet some dear, precious soul, had a deep connection of thought and heart, but somehow, we’ve lost touch because of the contingencies and limitations of time and space.
…oh, Dee, that is exactly it………but if you ever do come back around, it will be the same ~ as if you only slept a moment before awaking to begin anew. Thank you, my dear friend. ~ Love ever, Bobbie
“the music of forgotten smiles
ringing down the lines”
There’s a forward looking sweetness to this whole piece that I really like, Bobbie.. The last two lines are magic.
XO and goodnight….
Paul
Thank you, Paul. I wrote this after a conversation of how time doesn’t change everything. For some relationships (no matter the days or years – or lifetimes between), it is ever the same ~ as if nothing passed at all. ~ Much love always, Bobbie
I have to agree…., some things never change, nor should they.
xo
Exactly.
Beautiful words performing a wonderful dance of delight! Time does make changes, because like the effects time on a fine wine, it helps friendships, relationships, and marraige moments blossom becoming better! Nicely written Bobbie. Much love to you my sister!
