there’s a rub
to the waking
when the stillness
seems old ~
when last night’s
surrender to dreams
carries on
the coffee
indifferent
to the ways I have come ~
and places unnoticed
on the way back alone
before I was fallen
my sorrows to spread ~
when searching the darkness
to free ~
pieces
I should have
committed to writing ~
robbed of the story
ne’er meant to be
as I was
for a moment
somewhere still I remain
where we spoke
of lifetimes ~
now faded away
and held
for eternities
breath unto breath ~
so easy the falling
do you remember
that day
very real, authentic…quite beautiful
Thank you, Linda. I’m glad you like this. I kept thinking there should be more, and when it didn’t happen, I knew it was perfectly enough! Thank you as always for your grace. ~ My love, Bobbie
sitting here, knowing its too late to be drinking coffee
but the ritual of making it
drinking it as I enjoy the quiet
it lets me reflect on what I heard in the quiet of a rain soaked moment….
I love this one Bobbie…..for I remember too….days like this…
As Always…Thank you for sharing your thoughts
Take Care….

Thank you, Maryrose. I am grateful that you know (and have known) such sweet blessings. They are your treasure. As for the coffee and the lateness, I can SOOOOOOOOOOOO relate! ~ Love you, Me
An empty inkwell…, and coffee at midnight…, yeah, I remember. This one reaches to places where one has been…, and to where one would like to go, and touches the emotions in between. Beautifully done, Bobbie.
….always ~xo~

Thank you, Paul. I know you know………and that’s a good thing! ~ Love, Bobbie
I think that’s not so much a day we remember as one we constantly reinvent or re imagine new emphasis on particular aspects thereof.
Seb, I think you’re right. Maybe we even remember the things overlooked at the time, and the things we thought we would remember have since become not nearly as important as they seemed. Thank you so much for reminding me. 😀 ~ Love, Bobbie
The distance between two points is always made shorter by the breath of a heart’s words. For once their embrace is felt…it wholesomely fills another’s heart with joy and sweet happy tears. And new stories are born and written on sunbeams from on high sending the brightness to be happily received…for each day is a new life unto itself and in the life new words are shared and happily exchanged making a smile to shine so very bright! Amazing poem Bobbie!
You describe it perfectly, Wendell. From love, we always emerge newer and better for having loved and known love. Thank you, dearest. ~ Always love, Bobbie
