been sitting in the shadows
waiting long
the night to fade –
nursing day old coffee
with a shot of lemonade
talking talk with stars
as moonbeams
fell between the boughs
said a prayer or two
(one more amen)
for blessings given now
for warmth that wraps
my longing heart –
words that bare my soul
faith to see (beyond the dark)
another place I go
need not the signs
(or something more) to show me
what is real
leaves are turning –
light is breaking
(ask me how I feel)
deep within this stillness
something moves my joys to tear –
knowing what I know
of who I am
(and none to fear)
for all the morning
promise –
tangled wish of love and lace
for reasons I can’t tell you –
love remembers (me)
this place
the night birds shift
as prisms cast
a lowly face
to light
very beautiful and tender, really liked it, Love to you, Linda
Thank you, Linda. Your grace comes through your words and I am blessed. ~ Love, Bobbie
Bobbie, this is breathtaking. That first stanza just pulled me right in and wrapped me up like a soft blanket. Beautiful. Vanessa
Thank you, Vanessa. I am so very glad! ~ Love, Bobbie

Been there – done that – no fun!!! (except the “talking to the stars” part). Loneliness and memories always seem to fade into thoughts of love and a new tomorrow, don’t they?

Aren’t they the same……….all a part of now? xoxo ~ B
And i shall once again wrap you in my love, embracing you with my hearts warmth, so the cold will fade and a brightness shall magically appear, and once again as before known time we will steal the night away together even if only a dream..that when the morning comes you will rise with your heart satisified for a while again (the one in your dreams) Always so moving and special are your words…as beautifully as you write what can one say, for no one would touch a rembrandt or picasso and try to change…so a game, just to help your mind when you get into that mood of sadness! Smile for we love your writing and this one is another very good one! Much love to you my sister!
Wendell, you and I know that light always trumps the darkness ~ and the truest kind of love could never hide in a place without bringing with it light. Thank you so much. You bless me with your light and your love. ~ Always, Bobbie
