from the pillow ~ to the floor
awakened to discover
there was life beyond

than I had ever thought
in living ~
more than fate
had planned for me

the story still to be
though waiting
fraught with every word ~
is testament to will
could not be sure
the cost to hurt
but knew the price to heal
might other souls be lifted ~
others yet would rise to see
was worse ~
the never knowing
this shroud of mystery
was never proved a thing
certain truth (we couldn’t hide)
would only those of courage
move the veil of fear aside

And isn’t light more powerful? We never have to remove dark, only introduce light and darkness moves itself. The darkest darkness cannot effect light one whit.
