as twilight clings
in morning sweat
of love’s remembrance found
longing mates
with memory
somewhere
visions cast
an awkward glance
to angels unaware –
are swinging from the branches
of my heart
last year’s hope
is this year’s ache
and some –
they stay forever
willed into existence
by the sweet embrace
of light
. . .
Beautiful, as always, Bobbie. I particularly loved these lines:
‘visions cast
an awkward glance
to angels unaware -‘
Just lovely!
Thank you, dearest Angela……….. I think those were my favorite lines too, but then I can’t be sure. Sometimes, I’m just trying to keep up. ~ Love to you, Bobbie
hope turns to ache but then some…I love that last verse. Beautiful.
-Jennifer
Thanks, Jennifer. Love does that to us, changes one emotion to another – hurt to hope, breath to breeze, song to a sigh. You’re too kind. My love to you this beautiful day, Bobbie
Very beautiful verses Bobbie:)
Thank you, dear friend. I’m so glad you like them………….. 🙂 ~ Sweetly, Me
Nicely done. Happy Saturday, Bobbie. ~xo~
Paul
Your kindness, my joy……. Thank you, dear Paul. ~ Much love, Bobbie
It comes together so well at the end.
Thank you, Seb. I’ve missed you terribly and love your latest about the poet’s wife……….. 🙂 ~ My love ever, Bobbie
its so breathtaking and beautiful…loved the feelings
Thank you, Soumyav. I must apologize. I typically check for anything that WP has mis-filed as spam more often than I have this week, and was shocked to find two of your comments there. Since it has happened before with others, I am hopeful that you’re now safely out of the darkness. Always, your comments are light to my words…….. Thank you, darling. ~ Bobbie
The enchanting image of early dawn tugs at the heart as the morning mists paint a picture within of what it would be like to always know the path to the hearts of the ones we love for that is where a wonderful secure embrace resides for us! The poem along with the image makes the thought so beautifully complete! It will always inspire, making one’s heart to shine so lovingly and thankfully! Beautifully shared!
I love that spot on the road, Wendell. Some mornings, there are 25 deer in that field at the edge of the woods. Others, 30 or 40 wild turkey…….. Blessings always seem to know where to find us. We only need to be watching for them to show up. Thank you, my brother. ~ My love always, Bobbie
