was a whole lot better
then
they said –
the best of times behind
but the tank was full
and someone said
‘let’s go’
there are lines between
ten thousand more –
and days before the ocean
can crawl upon the windshield
with her lies
beg me to
surrender –
every secret I been sold
of empty eyes
and bedroom skies
I know them –
seen them fall
one winter’s eve
when frosted there
the dashboard cracked
beneath –
a sprig of holly
leaked into a song
can’t remember now
the words
you wrote me
down
lullaby for one –
I watched the stars
pass beyond the city lights
dinosaurs and
darling –
tell me there’s a heaven
where we go
. . .

There’s a heaven, Bobbie. See ya there. ~always~ Paul
Absolutely. Be sure to save me a seat and keep the coffee hot. 🙂 Thank you, Paul. ~ Love, Bobbie
Exquisite!
Thank you, Deana. I’m glad you like this. It was a two minute, need to write something even if it makes sense to no one moment. 🙂 ~ Love you, Bobbie
makes all the sense in the world Bobbie – excellent work
Thank you, Nathan. See, I knew the person it was meant for would find it. 🙂 ~ Love to you always, Bobbie
sweet 🙂
…where there’s no room
but space
where autumn leaves float
with music in the streets
to last all our days
where we find every door open
every heart burning with fervent joy
and peace rules the land
self devoid
Beautiful………and you’re so right, Vimal……… when we love, we truly do find every door open (for we take an open door with us)……. Thank you. ~ Much love, Bobbie
Swept away by the soothing rhythms of your poem….wonderfully written!
