reason grows in patches
fated disarray
as bent into the shade
misunderstood
of summers
were there e’er enough
to make up for the chill
breezes unrelenting
do they know
daisies painted
yellow –
mystery revealed
as glories strain
the steeple every time
lessons
spent on tenderness
tore apart the past
saved upon the tongue
another name
hid within
the oldest psalm –
a secret yet unknown
message from a heart
no longer sung
pen to page
whate’er was lost
shall find us here again –
taken by a sigh
into the sun
. . .
I had to stop on each stanza…
for each made me think of something different
yet when put together again, they mean the same …*sigh*
here’s too…….

just me
I love that thought, Maryrose, and it makes me think that we are much the same. The pieces of our life (our experiences) are part of us, much the same as an old quilt. Each piece vital in the overall pattern, and though ragged, perhaps that is but a place for the light to shine through. Had we never fallen, we would certainly never fly. ~ Love you always, Bobbie
Wonderful words, Bobbie, beautifully written and reaching deep to an inner part of me. ~xo~ Peace and love,
Paul
Thank you. I’m so very glad they found a place of such kindness (you). Thank you, my dearest Paul. ~ Always, Bobbie
Hello Bobbie! So sorry to have been a stranger and so happy to be back here reading your beautiful poetry again. I was temporarily lost to a horrible work placement which has been keeping me busy and a bit miserable, I hope to be out the other side very soon! Wonderful words as ever from you, and thank you for continuing to pop in on me from time to time. xx
Always, Vanessa. I’ve missed you but knew that paths never separate for long. I hope the book sales are booming so that soon, you’ll never need worry about work placement again. ~ Love to you and Happy New Year! ~ Bobbie
That would be dreamy but it doesn’t come out until March so some time to wait yet. All things happen for a reason, so I am looking out for the learnings in the mean time xx Happy New Year to you too, I hope this comment finds you healthy and happy 🙂
“lessons spent on tenderness tore apart the past saved upon the tongue another name”… no wonder the daisy withers on its birth day…
missed you much dearest & though late, please accept my warm wishes for the new year…. much love
O, my darling Mira, I have missed your presence terribly but assumed you were ringing in the new year with your own sense of style! I love you and hope this is your best year ever! ~ Always, Bobbie
Your words always leave me to pause and dream, soaking in their inherent loveliness, and even though it’s cold outside they bring a special warmth from summer and spring easing the cold away and bringing the warmth to grow. Your words are a special brew of delights for once one embraces them, it is hard to let them go! Great poem Bobbie! It is so very you and I say that in a very admiring way!
*blushing* Thank you, Wendell. Your kindness humbles me. ~ Love, Bobbie
Absolutely beautiful poem, Bobbie. These words touched me: “glories strain the steeple every time” for indeed no earthly structure can contain the glories we are gifted to behold in life. Love, Dee
My thoughts exactly, Dee. This line had more than one meaning to those who might find them both. Thank you, my dear friend. ~ Love, Bobbie
