pardon the mess
of daydreams and daisies –
journals piled high
on the edge of the couch
coffee too strong
and rings of surrender –
to traces where flicker
a candle burned out
pardon the glare
of light through the window
tore down the curtains
and moved near the bed
propped so the breezes blow
warm through my winters
kept me in secrets –
unsaved for regret
pardon the lack
of plans for tomorrow
last time – the calendar
lost me a year
forgotten the want
to change with the seasons –
no use moving on –
hold me right here
pardon the mess
of something needs cleaning
and where are the jeans
I held out to wear
kiss me –
forever seems nothing
worth trading –
as light crowds the window
with promise to share

Thank you, my dearest Maryrose……….. could be I was……right there. Love you much, Bobbie
Bobbie: I like the meter and structure of this poem. It feels quite different to the style I’m used to seeing here. Where did you get the wonderful photo? Word and image balance perfectly.

Thank you, James, In truth, I’ve been saving that image for a while, waiting for the perfect words for it. Everytime, I cleaned my files up, somehow it survived………..and always, I knew a day would eventually come. Thank you, my dear friend. ~ All my love, Bobbie
Well Lady Wordsmith,
Ya done good again! Liked it a lot.

There are moments and then there are moments, that we never want to escape from, but wanting to relive them for forever moments that will not change. Those moments make a heart in love blossom timelessly…while drinking of its embracing endless joy! Exquisitely written Bobbie!
