were I a sign
of eternities passing –
planets laid up
on the edge of the yard
quiet so loud
the birds were made silent
as ten thousand songs
and not a one heard
were I the first
of messengers coming
spouting the truth
of yesterday’s news –
lost in the rush
of seekers to follow
and calmed by the promise
of nothing to lose
here lies the lesson
forgotten of eden
as grace undeserved
now fallen away –
warned of the wisdom
all would come after –
of stories rewritten
to lead them
astray
miracles hide
in everyday places
where living we pass
on our way (unaware)
of destinies lost
to the searching of shadows
– unnoticed
the presence of light
glowing there
were I the one
of all to have wandered
out past the place
where secrets are kept
laden with signs
of another beginning –
as eden awoke
in the moments
we slept
Some take time to see the truth and smell the rose…, but others rush by and don’t see the forest for the trees. This is a good commentary on contemporary life…, too busy, too rushed.

I prefer the beauty and scent of the rose… My first comment was “too hurried, too rushed”. What you’ve written has the lyricism of a beautiful song, Bobbie. Really like it a lot.
~always~
Paul
Regardless the task, we can only experience the wonder (the power) if we slow down. I think (I know) the key to happiness is living in the now ~ in savoring this moment for all it’s beauty and potential, without any regard for what may never be. Thank you so much, Paul. Truly ~ love, Bobbie
“where secrets are kept laden with signs of another beginning – as eden awoke
in the moments we slept”…..stunning verse, beautiful, Love..Linda
Thank you, Linda. The world is filled with doomsday prophets who see no hope for the future. I beg to differ. I’m absolutely certain they just don’t know what they’re seeing. Thank you, darlin. ~ Love you always, Bobbie
Beautiful poem… I love the photograph.
Hey, James. I’ve missed you, and I love this photograph too. Maybe it’s the tribe that runs in my blood, but I feel that much of what matters in life ~ well, they had it figured out a long time ago. Thank you. ~ My love, Bobbie
I feel such a freedom in the image you shared and as i read your poem i felt the moment become so alive with your spirit! The words are soothing and the poems melody is enchanting in a very special way for i hear the spirits song of love! Take care Bobbie, thanks for sharing!
Thank you, Wendell. Your heart always speaks to me. ~ Love, Bobbie
miracles and wonders dwell in wordless silence. I love the lines “quiet so loud, the birds were made silent” — delightful surprise of language. Love, Dee
……you always find the words I felt most drawn to……..but I’m not really surprised. I know you know that language well, Dee, ad it echoes through your words and through your love. Thank you. ~ Always ever, Bobbie
