of that which I am all
(you see)
meant somewhere to meet
across a crowded heaven –
wings above the lake
as come together (who are we)
might choose to look away
where once you were
I’ve noticed –
life goes on
no more than time
or consequence –
the proof of ones let go
ashes rain
and wrongs were washed away
dreaming as you left me
tell them all
I knew you when –
before the coldest winter
returned a spring
of snow
to bloom beyond
rememberance
did you know (I knew)
your name
and sometimes still at night
my laughter rings –
through the mountains
held between –
lifetimes passed into
of that which I am (all)
you see –
to know not why
again
Why is a question I (and many others) have asked, and will ask forever, Bobbie. For most of us there will never be an answer. Loved the poem.
xo and good night,
Paul
Maybe the real question should be why not…….. Thank you, Paul. Love you, B
