And here a place
remembered now –
an old familiar longing.
Somewhere I stood
forgotten not
(the way) the trees were bent.
Spinning worlds
of scarlet rapture –
passion pushed us skyward
to places I was known –
a name I wore.
To give of faith uncertain –
might hold me closer (still)
a moment more
than ever I recall.
The proof of life is giving
lovers will again –
bound to all
that matters now (is love).
Needs not a voice
professing –
or signs we failed to see.
A kinder place
(to live) becomes our dream.
Surrendered every burden
(come as whispers to the bed)
yet stalks the darkest night
in search of me.
Across and through
these broken panes –
sunlight weaves to shadow.
As planets fall – ungirded
and I am swept away
unto a path – I knew the same
(can’t be the only one).
Was walking toward the light
awaiting me.
Might breath concede –
as I have kept
to truths (I dare not utter)
or take of this
a vow – to save my soul.
Before the dawn comes surely –
what more shall I conceive
to hold anew –
the places I have loved.
Might I endure
another death – with choice
to reach the crossing –
else dying leave
reminders to my skin.
As I have known
(will know me then)
love that calls me (sweetly).
Eternity returning me –
to find my home again.
And don’t we all die each night, renewed again by the dawning day. Lyrical and beautiful, Bobbie,

Hmmmmmmmmmm………..I don’t think so. I think we just live somewhere else. 🙂 Thank you, Paul. ~ Love, Bobbie
You’re probably more right than me. I’m terrible at interpreting things…

LOL…………I doubt that.
Born anew with the sun’s rising, we open our eyes and find our breath, we know that life is with us again as each day is a life to itself and we know not our fate tommorrow, unless we received the blessing of love and grace! Paul, Bobbie, is that not always why we try to live each to its fullest, giving it our best shot…for the only thing promised is that we will be born anew whether in this life, or the next! Bobbie loved the poem and also both of your comments! Enjoy your day…today!
Thank you, Wendell. You are exactly right!! Your comment reminded me of something I remember from reading years ago about a little girl who was undergoing heart transplant surgery and she makes the comment to her doctor (her friend). ‘It’s okay because no matter what, when I wake up, I’ll have a new heart.” Each day, we should live with such trust, such faith, such assurance in the life we’ve lived and the love we’ve given away. Thank you, Wendell. ~ Love, Bobbie
Across and through
these broken panes –
sunlight weaves to shadow…..this is beautiful, many beautiful images, Love, Linda
Thank you, Linda. This was partially inspired by our earlier conversation on your piece ‘Before”…….. Your light shines further than you see. (Love has that way.) ~ Always with love, Bobbie
I love how you weave the threads of faith, hope and love in these words.
Thank you, Dee. I can’t imagine having one without having them all! My love to you always. ~ Bobbie
