evening comes so quickly
anymore my body aches –
remembers back
another time
I danced
never knew to this –
a nested dove
crooning through the night –
with promise of one more
that I might rise
returning as another child –
asking not for more
than ages fell
as leaves to kiss the ground –
are memories made less by life –
a name I never wore
secrets blown to places
you can’t see
pieces of a puzzle
once I wondered how they fit
why I came
and where you are today
when longing counts
as seasons lost –
without one more goodbye
shadows sprawl beneath
my favored oak –
dew to roust the daisies
from their slumber –
moments there
they’ve tried to leave
but as I am
they are –
slow to rise
beholding to the sun
So pretty… A nested diver crooning through the night. Something very soothing about this one Bobbie.
Thank you, Vanessa. I’m so happy that you like it. ~ Love, B
