how is it
we’ve returned again
to know the path behind
seeing for the first
another way
reminders of an evermore
we swore to keep beside
where was I
and where for you
I weep
lullabies
I sing alone
whene’er I hear your name
or read of lines
already
I’ve betrayed
the lesson
for the one more kiss
one more lifetime
yet
beyond the breath
wherein the dawn
is laid
. . .
untied bundles of pages written bring pause to the present, memories that flicker as a candles flame
Words are never lost. Though ink may fade, their essence is sealed within the heart, as near as our next breath……….the sweet flight to home.
I feel a longing here, and a sadness for what can’t be avoided………………xo
love surely makes sweet and sad the same………….but where would we be without it…………..lost 🙂
